Your Friday Football Fix and Picks: Indy Will Win at Home, Chiefs Are Super Bowl Contenders

Once again, I’m gonna jump right into the picks this week…with comments on the games that grab my attention.

101ESPN’s Kevin Wheeler

Oakland @ Kansas City (-3.5) (Early winner! Plus the Chiefs look like a legit Super Bowl contender.)

Chicago @ Detroit (-7)

Pittsburgh (-3) @ Buffalo

(Tough game on the road for the Steelers. Buffalo can run it but Pittsburgh can run it AND throw it.)

Denver @ Tennessee (-1)

(Hunch pick. Denver’s defense is amazing but teams have been able to run on them when they’re committed to it and I just don’t see Denver’s offense doing much. Big win for the Titans.)

Washington (-2) @ Philadelphia

(Philly’s defense is good but they’re carrying too much of the load and have gotten rolled the last couple of weeks. Washington continues that trend.)

Arizona (-1.5) @ Miami

(I hate this game. After the Dolphins showing last week I have no confidence in them but I’ll go with the better team at home getting points.)

San Diego @ Carolina (-1.5)

Cincinnati (-5.5) @ Cleveland

Houston @ Indianapolis (-6.5)

(Another one I really don’t like. Texans are 1-5 on the road this season and I don’t trust Brock Osweiler so I’ll take my chances with Andrew Luck.)

Minnesota (-3.5) @ Jacksonville

NY Jets @ San Francisco (-2.5)

New Orleans @ Tampa Bay (-2.5)

(Bucs are hot and that defense is clicking…if Detroit can shut down the Saints in New Orleans I think Tampa should be okay.)

Atlanta (-6.5) @ Los Angeles

(Another blowout. Another set of non-excuse excuses from Neil Gamby, er, Jeff Fisher. The Rams don’t even have an answer for “What time is it?”)

Seattle (-3) @ Green Bay

(Packers season essentially on the line here. If they lose and Detroit wins against Chicago then the Pack are three games back with three games left. They’ll show up but I think Seattle squeaks one out.)

Dallas (-3.5) @ NY Giants

Baltimore @ New England (-7)

(Pretty sure the Patriots win this one with the #1 seed in the AFC on the line but I love that Baltimore defense and I expect them to keep it close.)

Last Week: 7-8

Season Total: 112-89-1
