Your Friday NFL Fix and Picks: Lions-Cowboys MNF Will Be a Close One; Packers Keep Rolling

Happy Holidays! Once again, I’m gonna jump right into the picks this week…with comments on the games that grab my attention.

Aaron Rodgers and the Packers have won their last four games.

NY Giants (-2.5) @ Philadelphia (Whoops. Not a great start to the week.)

Miami @ Buffalo (-4.5)

(Dolphins in Buffalo in late December without their starting QB…not great.)

NY Jets @ New England (-16.5)

Tennessee (-5) @ Jacksonville

(Jags are cratering, Titans are fighting for the division title. Big day for Mariota.)

Minnesota @ Green Bay (-7)

(Packers are rolling and the Vikings offense just isn’t good enough to do damage, even against a soft Green Bay defense.)

San Diego (-5.5) @ Cleveland

Washington (-3) @ Chicago

Atlanta (-3) @ Carolina

(Carolina is starting to play well and I think they pull off the upset here. The running game looked great in Week 15 and there’s no reason to think that won’t continue against the Falcons. NFC South up for grabs.)

Indianapolis @ Oakland (-3.5)

Tampa Bay @ New Orleans (-3)

(Bucs could pull into a 1st place tie with Atlanta if they pull this off – and they should. Saints aren’t what they normally are at home this year, Bucs defense wins the day.)

Arizona @ Seattle (-8)

(Seattle wins this game but their offense doesn’t inspire me to think they can cover 8 points. David Johnson helps keep it close.)

San Francisco @ Los Angeles (-5)

(I don’t know if San Fran can win this, they’re awful, but so are the Rams so I’m gonna take the points.)

Cincinnati @ Houston (pick)

Baltimore @ Pittsburgh (-5.5)

(This is essentially for the AFC North title and I think the Steelers win by 10. Both teams playing well on defense but only one of them has a balanced offense. That’s Pittsburgh.)

Denver @ Kansas City (-3.5)

(The Chiefs are my pick to win, I just think it’ll be a field goal game. It’s the hook that makes me take the Broncos.)

Detroit @ Dallas (-6.5)

(Dallas wins but they’ve locked up the division and the #1 overall seed and Detroit is in a fight for their playoff lives so I think it’ll be close.)

Last Week: 12-4

Season Total: 134-99-1
